German luxury car company Mercedes-Benz's chief of design Gorden Wagener revealed the forthcoming Vision AMG EV concept on his Instagram account.

On Monday, the company posted an unveiled sketch of the Mercedes-Benz AMG concept electric car on social media. They also confirmed the reveal date of May 19.

The Mercedes-Benz Vision AGM electric car concept claims to be an all-electric performance-centric car.

The teaser shows a sports EV that has the same slippery design as Mercedes Vision EQXX's electric sedan concept.

Regarding the Mercedes AMG Vision concept for electric vehicles, the teaser images reveal only the silhouette concept of the EV that is performance-focused.

Mercedes AMG Vision EV will have a pointed frontal profile and a sleek and sloping roofline. The teaser image does not reveal any more details regarding the car's design.

Mercedes-Benz AMG EV is expected to be the company's performance-focused division's second standalone model following the One hypercar that is scheduled to begin deliveries.

In the case of the Mercedes-AMG One that it is powered by a 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine, paired with four motors that produce more than 1,000 horsepower of power.

The hypercar can accelerate from 0-200 kmph in under six seconds, and reach the maximum speed of around 350 km/h.

There are rumors that we could have an electric sports car similar to the new Vision AMG that may be launched in 2025.

2025 is crucial as it is the year that Mercedes will be permanently switching to an electric platform.
