According to a top corporate official Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) intends to sell around 4-6 lakh CNG vehicles this fiscal year.
The company sold around 2.3 lakh CNG units between 2021 and 22. MSI plans to bring in more models equipped with CNG engines which are currently 9 of the 15 models.
Alternate fuel is the future. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) plans to launch more car models that use alternative fuels.
There is plenty of enthusiasm among customers for CNG automobiles due to the low cost of operation and constant rise in the cost of fuel.
Maruti Suzuki Swift will also get CNG in near future. It will also come with the 1.2L regular petrol engine that has the power of 78PS along with 98.5Nm of torque when in CNG mode.
In 2022, the Baleno may be the very first Nexa offering to include the CNG Bi-fuel engine. In contrast to other Nexa models it is the only Baleno does not come with an engine that runs on diesel.
Maruti Suzuki recently updated the Wagon-R. The Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R model is likely to have CNG options in the near future.
