Kabira mobility is a Goa-based startup company that is famous for mopeds and electric scooters. However, their Kabira Mobility KM 3000 is their debut electric motorbike featured at the Auto Expo 2020.

Performance & Overview

Motor & Battery: The battery pack’s capacity is 3.3 kW. The batteries have been certified to be safe to fireproof, waterproof, and shockproof. The KM3000 has a high-torque BLDC Motor mounted on the hub, with a peak power of 3000W.

Charging Time: The KM3000 can charge in 2 different ways, that are eco mode and boost mode. The Eco mode takes 6.5 hours to charge the battery pack, while in Boost mode, 80 percent of the battery packs can be completed in only 50 minutes.

The smart charging system that Kabira has integrated into the bikes. Customers can toggle between two charging modes through a mobile application.

A fast charger integrated within the system will allow the battery to be recharged quickly anywhere with a regular 15amp socket. Dual-mode charging will help prolong battery longevity.

Design: Kabira Mobility claims that the KM3000 were designed keeping “Generation Z” in the back of their minds. Kabira Mobility Electric bikes sport modern style design with sleek aerodynamic profiles, fireproof battery as well as many innovative and thrilling features.

The electric motorbikes can reach 100 mph top speed and travel 120km with one charge. It is also equipped with features like combined braking system and the park assistance.

KM 3000

Handling: This motor has been IP67 certified for water resistance. It also is equipped with a dual-sensor and temperature sensor. The KM 3000 gets telescopic forks at the front and a link-type monoshock at the rear.

The KM3000 is equipped with a combination brake system(CBS), high-speed onboard chargers, and roadside assistance provided by the company. The KM3000 is said to have a mileage of 120 kilometers.

Ergonomics

Regarding the ergonomics, the riding posture feels a little aggressive, and you have to seat leaning towards the front. However, the handlebar’s width was too narrow for some to be comfortable with.

The wider bar opens the chest and provides more leverage to steer, making the bike easy to control.

Riding Experience

The riding position on the KM 3000 is very accommodating and comfortable. The clip-ons are placed in an easier position, the pegs that are back-set as you’d expect from a fairing bike, and there’s ample space to sit comfortably, even for larger riders.

The riding posture is quite sporty; however, it’s not too aggressive and doesn’t put stress on your body parts. The handling is also fine.

The 4kWh lithium-ion battery is placed low right in the middle of the diamond frame, which gives it a low center of gravity, helping to ensure stability.

The electric bikes went on sale in February 2021. Currently, the company has temporarily suspended the bookings for a short period. Because the bikes exceeded the production capacity for the KM3000 due to its high demand.

Kabira Mobility will soon announce the dates for booking the next batch of KM3000. Kabira Mobility is also planning to gradually increase the production capacity to meet the rising demand for this electric bikes.
