Hydrogen Car In India – Model, Price, Range

Union Ministry for Road Transport and Highways launched an unprecedented pilot project to test Hydrogen Car In India, advanced Fuel Cell Electric vehicles (FCEV), which is an immense shift away from fossil fuel and conserving our natural environment.

This project’s goal is to increase awareness about FCEV and Hydrogen technology and promote the benefits of the country’s hydrogen-based economy.

It is the first step toward a zero-carbon future and a major part of the Indian Government’s energy strategy. The hydrogen vehicle price in India is a key consideration.

While the initial costs are expensive, the benefits are many. The vehicle will have a longer range and better handling than conventional electric vehicles.

What Is Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car?

A FCEV uses electric motors to power its wheels, similar to BEVs. Instead of a lithium-ion battery, the motor is powered with electricity produced by breaking hydrogen molecules inside the fuel cell.

How Does Hydrogen Fuel Cell Work?

Hydrogen fuel cells Cars are powered by hydrogen gas compressed stored in tanks fed to an internal fuel cell “stack” that transforms the fuel’s chemical energy into electrical energy—the car’s electric motors. The only waste product is water.

The fuel cell is comprised of many cells. Hydrogen gas is introduced into the cell’s anode and then encounters a catalyst that divides hydrogen atoms into protons and electrons. The conductive collector gathers the electrons, which is fed by the battery onboard and/or the motors.

The NEXO is not just an embodiment of Hyundai’s commitment to eco-friendly and advanced vehicle development but is also a testament to Hyundai’s leadership on Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).

In contrast to other Hyundais that adopt a bold style, Nexo’s style is distinctive because it’s different.

The Nexo was revealed in 2018. Hyundai FCEV NEXO features the latest technology created through Hyundai Motor Group.

Nexo also offers the most efficient performance among other FCEVs currently available.

It is not a gas engine or a hybrid powertrain; it is a hybrid powertrain. Nexo can be described as an electric car that is fueled by hydrogen.

Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Car

Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Car

Toyota has announced the Mirai, the first hydrogen fuel cell EV (FCEV) in India.

Mirai is a mid-sized hydrogen fuel cell sedan car (FCV) launched by Toyota Group and is one of the first FCV automobiles that are mass-produced and commercially sold.

The flowing lines and stylish appearance detract from its real feature, its hydrogen-powered propeller system.

The system can accelerate the Mirai from zero up to 97 kilometres per hour (0 60 to 60mph) within 9.0 seconds and has an acceleration time of 3 seconds between 40 and 64 km/h (25 to 40 mph).

The Mirai fueling process takes between 3 and 5 minutes, and Toyota estimated a distance of 480 kilometres (300 miles) with a full tank.

While Toyota claims that the Mirai takes just 9.1-seconds to reach 96kmph, the quick quality of power distribution makes it more comfortable than a car driving through the city area.

Additionally, the rear-wheel-drive chassis offers remarkable agility while maintaining a smooth and composed ride.

Final Word

Hydrogen Car In India is an alternative fuel for vehicles and can be produced from abundant biomass in the country. This fuel is considered one of the cleanest fuels and will play an important role in India’s energy future.

The company is working with ICAT to develop a pilot hydrogen vehicle with a range of up to 600 km. The hydrogen would be burned to produce electricity, and water would be released from the tailpipe.

This technology is still at a trial phase but is the future of clean energy.
