Motor, Battery, Speed
When launched control and sport modes are active, the vehicle’s two electric motors produce up to 610 horsepower (449kilowatts), and 811 pound feet (1,100-newton metres) combined. It comes with 111.5-kilowatt-hour battery pack.
The BMW iX M60 electric motor works on a current-energized synchronous mechanical principle. The BMW iX M60’s Normal driving mode loses power but still produces 532 hp (391 kW) and 749 lb (1,015 nm).
The motor is energized by electrical energy that is precisely metered, thus eliminating the need to use rare earth metals. This new technology ensures maximum efficiency and reduced noise.
BMW M60 can accelerate to speeds of 98 km/h from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of up to 250 km/h.
The M60 also features dual fifth-generation electric motors, blue brake calipers, 22-inch titanium bronze wheels, and an M-badge. The car will have the lowest CO2 emissions of any fully-electric vehicle when fully charged, so you can feel confident while driving.
Its new electric drivetrain will be a big advantage for environmentally conscious consumers.

BMW iX M60 Range
According to the WLTP testing cycle, the vehicle can travel up to 566 kilometers on a single charge. With an all-wheel drive system and M-specific electric motors, you can be confident of having a smooth ride on any road condition.
BMW iX M60 Charging Time
The M60 boosts power to 610 HP, which allows it to sprint to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. If it is connected to a fast DC charger, it can charge from 10% to 80% within 39 minutes.
BMW iX M60 Exterior
BMW’s iX M60 is the top-of-the-range iX variant. The iX M60 is equipped with a variety of top-tier features, including heated seats, wireless charging pads, and adaptive LED headlights.
This design is made up of aluminum spaceframe and a carbon frame with carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP), in the roof, sides and rear sections. This gives it greater rigidity and optimized weight. Sport Mode has a 0.26 drag coefficient (Cd value).
The M60 features an aluminum space frame, a carbon cage, and carbon fiber-reinforced carbon plastic in the roof and side sections. This design was first used on the 2003 BMW M3 CSL.
Exterior features include blue M-branded brake discs as well as M logos in gloss black and titanium bronze at rear. The M60 is seated on larger alloy wheels that the regular iX.

BMW iX M60 includes a wide range of standard equipment to support driver assistance systems, including a new generation sensor array and a new software stack.
It also features a powerful computing platform that can provide level 3 functionality for the long term. BMW OS 8-based iDrive control and display system is installed in the cabin.
The BMW iX concept car showcases the new color-changing technology. The team behind the technology, known as E-Ink, has been working on it for six to seven months.
The process involves three layers, the middle one being composed of transparent capsules that feature two paint colours: white and black. As a result of an electric field, these pigments will change colour, turning the car into the desired shade.
Currently, the car is dark grey, but it turns white when the driver activates the color-changing feature. Whether the car is real or CGI, the technology is certainly impressive.
Despite the lack of concrete details on this technology’s future roll-out, it seems like an interesting development. BMW is not yet announcing whether the color-changing technology will be rolled out to customers.
The color-changing feature was first used on the BMW iX Flow concept car, which debuted on Jan. 5, 2019. The technology is a form of electrophoretic paint that can change its color from white to black and back again.
The BMW iX Flow concept car’s technology is similar to the technology used in the electriciX SUV concept that will debut in 2021.
The BMW iX Flow concept car also makes use of E-Ink, a material similar to that used in e-readers. This material not only enables color-changing but also helps to make the car more energy-efficient.
While this technology is still far from mass-production, it could potentially revolutionize how we customize our vehicles. In the meantime, it’s a fascinating way to personalize a car.
E-Ink is a unique wrap made from microcapsules of negatively and positively charged black and white pigments. These microcapsules are stimulated by electrical signals, causing them to collect at the car’s surface.
This technology is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, as it only changes colors when required. It even works on electrochromic sunroofs.

BMW iX M60 Price In India
BMW has introduced the all-electric iX M60 SUV in December. It will be priced at Rs 1.16 Crore (ex-showroom). It is priced below rivals such as Tesla Model X, Mercedes EQC and the Audi E-tron, though these cars are not official yet in India.
Despite this, it could easily be the first electric car to make its way to India. You can also expect the iX M60 to be available in the market by the end of this year.
BMW claims that it won’t use rare earth materials for the iXM60. Instead, motors operate on the principle that a current-energized, synchronous machine. BMW defines this as “excitation of rotor by precisely measured supplies of electrical energy.”
