The 2022 BMW M440i is expected to be a mid-priced midsize luxury sedan. It shares many similarities with the current 3 Series sedan, including its black and beige interior, mesh-style aluminium inlays, and rotary-control iDrive infotainment system.

It also has cloud-based navigation, Android Auto compatibility, and wireless Apple CarPlay. In addition, the 2022 BMW M440i will be available in five different trim levels. The M440i Gran Coupe starts at $59,195, after a $995 delivery cost.


The BMW M440i is a high-performance sports coupe with a new driving technology. Compared to the BMW 3 Series, the BMW M440i offers a sportier feel for a sports car and comes with mild-hybrid technology.

The automatic transmission delivers smooth shifts in normal driving while offering sportier shifts in Sport mode. The result is a sports car with great gas mileage.

The BMW M440i Gran Coupe is an extension of the four-door M440i. Its body is more aerodynamic and possesses a rear-wheel-drive system., one for M and the other for competition.

Sporty Engine Response

The BMW M440i features smooth engine response and comfort dampers. The M440i Gran Coupe is also capable of handling track-use duties. The car’s differentials, which simulate the feel of rear-wheel drive, are also impressive.

The EPA estimates that the 430i four-cylinder coupe will achieve 26 mpg in city driving while achieving 34mpg on the road. The addition of all-wheel drive to the equation, the figures drop to the equivalent of 24 and 33 mpg respectively.

Standard Adaptive Suspension

BMW M440i owners will enjoy an impressive array of new standard features, including the optional M Sport suspension and standard adaptive dampers. In Sport mode, the adaptive dampers isolate road shock and improve handling, and the Gran Coupe will get lift-related dampers.

Both 430i and M440i buyers can choose between several packages, including M Sport with firmer dampers and Dynamic Handling with the active locking rear differential.

The M440i Gran Coupe features standard adaptive suspension and a rear-biased xDrive AWD drivetrain. As a result, the car has a nearly 50/50 weight distribution. The standard adaptive suspension helps ensure a smooth ride on rough terrain.

The M440i Gran Coupe also features an aggressive body kit and blackout trim. It’s unflappable and absorbs bumps for a fast, comfortable ride. The adaptive suspension is easily adjustable, and the driver can use the Sport or Comfort settings to alter the ride.

The BMW M440i’s bold and aggressive styling has been updated for its 2022 model year. It has broad shoulders and a huge grille adorned with BMW kidneys. The rear end has a powerful look, with coupe-like lines and a muscular, swooping hood.

The BMW M440i’s iDrive infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making the device more compatible with iPhones. You can control SiriusXM radio and use voice commands to navigate the system.

It also comes with an 8.8-inch touchscreen and a standard 10-speaker audio system. However, it does lack the standard 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
